This public research university is located in Sydney, Australia with over 46,000 students through its 9 faculties and schools. Our relationship with the business school began in 2019 with our inaugural Career Transition program delivered for post-graduate students as part of their Advanced Master of Business Administration Degree.
 

Key Business Challenge: 

How do we incorporate professional development in the AMBA that activates personal skills and professional strengths, provides contemporary career guidance and prepares students for the future of work?

The Back Story: 

In 2019, we developed an intensive 1-day program, starting with a self-awareness journey focused on personal brand, values, strengths and transferable skills. Building on this foundation, students applied design-thinking methodologies to determine best-fit career paths post MBA and stretch opportunities to build skills, capabilities and passions. Culminating with the ‘Transition Hub Career Canvas’, students gained clarity, direction and an actionable plan to launch their job-search/career progression campaign post-MBA.

Outcomes Achieved:

The Transition Hub program rated #1, as most valuable to students across their MBA curriculum. With unanimous positive feedback, the program has become an integral part of the Advanced MBA and since delivered to the 2020 and 2021 cohorts.
